A key part of working with influencers is developing a plan for how to get your products into their hands. This usually means reaching out to an influencer, developing a relationship, getting their mailing information, and shipping the package out yourself. Sending DMs back and forth and running to the post office can take up a lot of time if you have a lot of influencers. 

Influencer gifting comes with its challenges and a lot of platforms and agencies might make you send them tons of product that goes to waste or still require a lot of manual work for getting gifts into your influencers’ hands.

Step 1: Create your campaign

When you create a campaign on the Octoly platform, your featured products are listed on Octoly. All the influencers on the platform have their own “store” and can browse through all the products available from brands. 

You can set criteria for your influencers when you create a campaign to determine which influencers will be able to see your product in their store. All the influencers on the Octoly platform are vetted and you can tailor your campaigns to find the best fit for influencers in your industry.

Step 2: Connect with influencers

Every influencer on the Octoly platform has credits they can use to “order” products. Since the influencers are showing their interest, you don’t have to worry about wasting product by sending items to people who might not be invested in them or your brand.

If they’re interested in a brand or product, the influencer then “orders” your product with one of their credits. When they place an order, they also let you know why they want to test and review the product. After reviewing the request, you can view the influencer’s profile, and choose whether or not to approve their order.

Step 3: Send your products

When you accept the influencer’s request, Octoly can handle all the shipping from our warehouse. Or, if you want to ship the product yourself, you can easily get the correct address through the platform instead of messaging the influencer separately. 

If you choose to ship with Octoly, the influencer will receive a notification that they have been approved and another alert when the product is on the way. The shipping notification includes tracking information so they can keep an eye on its progress and confirm that it’s been delivered. This cuts down on the manual communication and follow up and gives you peace of mind knowing that your products are on the way to the right place.

Step 4: Get reviews

Influencers have a limited number of credits that are refreshed once they post a review of the product and submit it to the platform. This is a great incentive to make sure the influencers actually share your product with their audience, and it means you can spend less time refreshing their social pages to make sure they’ve posted.

Step 5: Track your success
